This service can be added onto any BAYA rug.

How do the products work?

MicroSeal and Fiber ProTector use nanotechnology to protect fabric and fibres at a molecular level. The treatment penetrates the fibres and creates a seal (unlike other products, that simply coat fibres). Through this technology, the appearance, texture and feel of the fabric is maintained. The product efficacy has been tested and validated by independent laboratories.

What types of fibres can these products be used on?

MicroSeal and Fiber ProTector work on all types of fibres including wool, cotton, silk, viscose, synthetic fibres, suede & leather. It can be applied to used furnishings and will not seal in dirt or stains.

Is it safe for humans and pets?

Yes. MicroSeal and Fiber ProTector are non-toxic and non-allergenic. They have an Environmental Protection Agency rating of GRAS (Generally Recognised as Safe) and contain no fluorochemicals or PTFE resin.

How does MicroSeal resist wear and abrasion?

Treated fibres are up to 60% more resistant to wear and abrasion because soil must wear off the protection before causing wear on the fibres. Similarly, fabric fibres must wear off the protective MicroSeal penetrator before they can wear on each other. This "wear resistance" promotes longer product life.

How is the protection applied?

Before your floor rug is sent to you, our partners at Premium Surface Protection will visit us on site to apply the protection to your floor rug. A professional from their team use specialist equipment to apply a fine, mist-like spray evenly over the entire rug. The solution will then dry and cure into the fibres over several days.

How soon after applying can items be used?

For applications on floor rugs, it is ideal to wait 3-4 days.

Does MicroSeal have an odour?

Yes, there is a slight odour during application which is not detectable once cured.
