Upholstery
The armchair is upholstered in Zoffany Arden fabric in the striking Venetian Red colourway, which has now been discontinued. Arden is a timeless design that evokes the beauty of mid-15th-century forest imagery, originally discovered in a house in Halifax, Great Britain, in 1901. The fabric is a luxurious 100% cotton velvet, made in the UK, known for its rich texture and vibrant color depth.

Arden Fabric Story
The Arden design, part of Zoffany’s renowned collection, was meticulously recreated by artist Melissa White, who hand-painted and engraved large plastered canvases in her Hastings studio. The process retains the handcrafted appearance of the original Elizabethan paintings, which were then reintroduced through advanced printing techniques to offer a perfect blend of historical elegance and modern appeal.
