









Vintage Japanese Vase by Jin Nariyoshi | C. 1970

A rare and collectible piece by celebrated Japanese ceramicist Jin Nariyoshi (1942–2012), also known as Nanda Koreya. This sculptural vase features a striking geometric form crafted from brown earthenware and finished with a luminous celadon overglaze. The surface is adorned with an abstract floral motif, showcasing Nariyoshi’s signature style and mastery of deep celadon glazes. Artist’s seal stamped on the base.
Jin Nariyoshi studied at Tokyo University of the Arts and established his kiln in Mashiko in 1974. In addition to his functional ceramics, he produced expressive terracotta sculptures under the name Minamida Koreya. His works are held in major institutions, including the British Museum, and his sculptures are displayed at the Wagner Nandor Art Gallery.
Condition: Very Good Condition. Please refer closely to all images provided as they are integral to the description. The top rim has a small splash of gold. This may be to cover a small surface chip. No visible cracks or chips other than above mentioned area.
